A Russian MiG-29 fourth-generation fighter jet crashed near the village of Kushchevskaya in the Krasnodar Territory on Friday, injuring one of the pilots, the Interfax news agency reported.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the information about the crash. The press service of the ministry reported that the pilot evacuated the command of ground search services, his life is not in danger. Defense Ministry spokesman also said that the flight was carried out without ammunition.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the accident could be the fault of one of the engines. To determine the cause of the accident flight the MiG-29 suspended.
