OSCE spotted Russian Torn radio intelligence system in the occupied part of Ukraine

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) has spotted the Russian Torn radio intelligence system at the non-government-controlled areas on in eastern Ukraine.

A statement from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission claims that the Russian Torn radio intelligence system has been spotted near Debaltseve, in Novohryhorivka.

“An SMM mini-UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) spotted: two IFVs (BMP-1) (of which one was parked in the yard of a residential house) and a TORN radio intelligence system on a truck (KamAZ) parked near a residential house in Novohryhorivka,” said in statement.

According to OSCE, the SMM recorded Russian signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems at the same location where there had repeatedly seen last two years.

Ukrainian InformNapalm OSINT (Open Source INTelligence) platform also repeatedly says about Russian SIGINT systems in the occupied part of Donbas, Eastern Ukraine.

For reference, Torn SIGINT system gather information from adversaries’ electronic signals, whether communications between people or from equipment signals at the distance of 2000 km.

This system plays a vital role in troops and provides a critical advantage on the battlefield.
