Turkish T129 attack helicopters takes part in Pakistan’s military parade

A formation of three T129 ATAK multirole attack helicopters took part in a military parade during Pakistan Day celebrating.

Three new T129 ATAK helicopters of Turkish Armed Forces presented performance during the “Pakistan Day” parade in Islamabad. The T129 multirole attack helicopter is being developed jointly by AgustaWestland and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) for the Turkish Land Forces Command (TLF) under the attack and tactical reconnaissance helicopter (ATAK) programme.

Turkey and Pakistan are on the verge of inking a deal for the purchase of T129 helicopters. According to defence sources in Ankara, the Turkish and Pakistani governments are close to closing the ATAK helicopter deal in the upcoming months, if not weeks. The sources underlined that the ATAK helicopters were tested and the Pakistani side has expressed their contentment with the helicopters in line with their needs and requirements.
