Jaysh al-Islam formerly known as Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) in Syria said they fired missiles at positions of government forces near Damascus.

The rebels have released the footage of launch of medium-range missiles. Video released by the anti-government group showed fighters firing of Iranian Zelzal-2 heavy artillery rocket that can carry a 600 kg warhead an estimated 210 km. In Syria, the Zelzal-2 is known as the ‘Maysalun’ and produced under license.

The exact location where those missiles landed is still unknown.

According to the spokesman in the footage, the missiles were launched from the Qalamoun mountains without mentioning further details.
