The Peruvian Naval Aviation has awarded Ukranian Antonov an MRO contract for its two An-32B aircraft, but the tender has apparently been suspended

Naval Aviation of the Navy of Peru (MGP) runs a program of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and modernize its main vector of air cargo, two An-32B aircraft, but the tender, awarded to Antonov has apparently been suspended.

These aircraft are equipped with two powerful turboprop engines each developing 5,180 HP power to allow the plane to lift the Andes routinely. According to unofficial information, the contract for the MRO and modernization works were awarded to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), ie Antonov, but the award was denounced by a bidder and the outcome is pending.

The award was scheduled for May 25, valued at about US$10.27 million.
