«Kalashnikov» began serial deliveries of assault boats to the Russian Ministry of Defense

BK-16 High-Speed Landing Craft

Concern “Kalashnikov” began serial deliveries of high-speed, multi-purpose amphibious landing and assault crafts and for special forces units of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

“In 2015, the ship successfully passed the tests and were adopted by the Russian army, – said General Director of Concern “Kalashnikov” Alexei Krivoruchko. – According to its technical characteristics and equipment of our boats are not inferior to foreign analogues, but much to gain for the price.”

A model of the BK-16 was exhibited at the Army 2015 International Military-Technical Forum held in Russia in June 2015.

Furthermore, the landing craft’s ability to launch and retrieve an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was demonstrated during the International Maritime Defence Show (IMDS 2015) held in St Petersburg, Russia, in July 2015.

The BK-10 assault landing boat was designed to carry squads of up to 10 soldiers and can conduct coastal landing operations and provide fire support.
