Based on the award-winning DA42 NG, the DA42 MPP (Multi Purpose Platform) GUARDIAN is the ultimate special mission aircraft product of the austrian company Diamond Aircraft, with an endurance of up to 12 hrs while burning only 24.2 litre (6.4 US gallons) per hour, you have a proven and fully certified remote sensing system at your disposal. Powerful and cost efficient, it delivers accurate results with hawk-eyed precision for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions, geo surveys or TV broadcasting.

The Guardian mission solutions comprise a cost-efficient fixed wing platform, airborne sensors, data-links, command and control centres as well as corresponding pilot, operator and maintenance training. The aircraft has been specially designed for carrying multi-functional aerial sensors, like EO/IR cameras for surveillance and reconnaissance missions, land and sear radars, COMINT solutions, airborne laser scanners or large format digital aerial cameras. Mission kits can be mounted on specific hard points located on the nose and belly of the aircraft as well as in the cabin and nose luggage compartments. The DA42 has demonstrated it is the perfect complement to traditional Police helicopter platforms, and can add substantial capability at a fraction of the operating costs of traditional platforms: up to 12-hour non-stop missions for less than 100 Euros per hour.

The aircraft can execute multiple missions as Covert Surveillance, General Surveillance, Disaster Management, Enviromental Monitoring, Border Control, Infrastructure Monitoring, Maritime Patrol and Radio Monitoring, Infrastructure Planning, Mining and Exploration, Security Missions, Mapping, Disaster Prevention, Media and Vegetation Analisys.
