CONTROP Precision Technologies Ltd. – a company specializing in the field of electro-optics and IR defense and homeland security solutions – highlights aircraft upgrade capabilities for the modernization of light aircraft, helicopters, and UAS at D&S Thailand 2017. The company has a wide range of proven airborne solutions from fully integrated mission systems to payloads of various sizes for diverse applications. CONTROP reports recent sale of the A-DSMS Airborne Defense Surveillance Mission System with the iSky-50HD as part of an upgrade program for Search & Rescue missions in Africa.
According to Mr. Hagay Azani, VP Marketing & Sales of CONTROP, “We are proud of our wide-ranging line of payloads and mission systems for air platform modernization projects. For many armed forces, especially in the Asia and Asia-Pacific regions, the budget for purchasing new helicopters is often limited, and therefore, many armies and air forces are increasingly choosing to upgrade older platforms with newer and more advanced systems. These systems meet complete military and civil standards of air worthiness”
“We offer a wide range of electro-optical systems that are suitable for any budget framework, type of mission, and environmental condition – so that every potential customer can find a suitable solution,” Mr. Azani continued. “All our solutions in this field have been proven over many years and have been purchased and used daily and very successfully by many armies and air forces around the world.”
The A-DSMS is a complete integrated solution specially designed for converting military, law enforcement and government aircraft into an advanced EO/IR surveillance mission configuration. These surveillance helicopters are used for a variety of applications including Search and Rescue (SAR), firefighting, coastal/border surveillance, Marine patrol and more. The A-DSMS is offered with a variety of CONTROP’s EO/IR gyro-stabilized payloads, including with a full HD day camera. In addition, the A-DSMS includes an operator’s work station with a display monitor, DVR, control unit, mission computer, moving map software, video downlink. Also included is a certified A-Kit for mounting the payload and the entire system on the aircraft.
CONTROP’s line of six (6) medium and long-range aerial payloads (iSky-20HD, iSky-30HD, iSky-50HD)was uniquely developed for the challenging and often turbulent aerial environment, and they provide solutions for most medium and long-range aerial surveillance platforms. Features include a continuous optical zoom lens in HD day camera and thermal imaging (SD/HD) cameras, gyro-stabilized gimbals, and multi-sensor options including Eyesafe Laser Range Finder (ELRF) and/or Laser Pointer, all of which provide outstanding capabilities. The iSky systems can be installed on helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft (A/C) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and may be integrated with the platform’s systems. Ideal for manned or unmanned airborne platforms, all of the iSky systems include real-time image enhancement features, built-in INS, and Automatic Video Tracker. They are successfully operated, fully integrated and deployed by Search and Rescue (SAR), border surveillance, law enforcement, Special Operations, Maritime Patrol, and force protection units.
