The Myanmar armed forces may buy Russian BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, reported military-informant.com.

“As of today, we have received requests for the acquisition of the BMP-3 from Myanmar … I cannot disclose the exact amount, but we are talking about somewhere in the region of two battalions,”, told representative of Concern “Tractor plants “. The BMP-3 is a Russian amphibious infantry fighting vehicle, successor to the BMP-1 and BMP-2. About 120 BMP-3 vehicles are in service with the Russia Army and over 900 have been exported to a number of countries, including United Arab Emirates (600 vehicles), Cyprus (40), Indonesia (30), Kuwait (110) and South Korea (70).
