Iraq receives first T-90S tanks from Russia

The Iraqi Army on 15 February received the first T-90S and T-90SK main battle tanks (MBTs) that it purchased from the Russia government.

The first batch of T-90S and T-90SK main battle tanks recently arrived in Iraq’s port by sea. The local source released images showing new Russian-made tanks transported in a convoy.

The batch was prepared for shipping to the customer in December 2017. Russia has begun delivery of a first bath of the T-90S main battle tanks (MBTs) to Iraq under a 2014 government-to-government contract.
