Huta Stalowa Wola rolls out Borsuk armoured fighting vehicle prototype at MSPO

Polish heavy industry manufacturer Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) has taken the opportunity at the MSPO 2017 exhibition in Targi Kielce to debut its new Borsuk armoured fighting vehicles.

The HSW will present the first prototype of the new Borsuk (Badger) amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle at the MSPO 2017 exhibition. The exhibit will take place between 5-9 September 2017.

The Borsuk is a new generation armoured vehicle is developing to replace Poland’s BWP-1 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV). The turret is to be equipped with a launcher of guided anti-tank missiles, along with a heavy main cannon.

The chassis of the new IFV is to be a basic element of specialised variants, such as self-propelled 120 mm mortar, command, engineering vehicles, command and control, ammunition wagons and medical vehicles etc.
