Hanwha Defense Systems unveils new armored wheeled vehicle at AFED 2018

South Korean firm Hanwha Defense Systems for the first time displayed its new 6×6 armored wheeled vehicle at the AFED 2018 exhibition in Saudi Arabia. 

Hanwha Defense Systems unveiled a revised model of its Black Fox 6×6 armored wheeled vehicle fitted with a turret that is armed with a 30 mm gun.

The Black Fox 6×6 was developed entirely using Hanwha Defense Systems own technology and is designed to mount various armament systems and perform multi-purpose tactics. The number of crew varies depending on the vehicle operation purpose but it can hold up to 12 persons. It is designed to extend the protection capability to meet the various requirements of the demanding force.

The new vehicle has independent suspension provides outstanding open-field cruise performance. It is fully amphibious, being propelled in the water by two water jets, which are positioned on either side at the rear of the hull.

The upgraded armored wheeled vehicle will be fitted with new remote weapon stations equipped with a 30 mm automatic cannon and also be armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun.
