Chinese rockets to debut at Australian airshow

The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is showcasing its Long March rockets for the first time at the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace and Defence Exposition 2017 running from 28 February to 5 March.

Models of Chinese rockets will debut at Australian InternationalAirshow to be held in Avalon from Tuesday to Saturday, the China Aerospace Science andTechnology Corporation (CASC) announced Monday.

According to the CASC, 1:20 scale models of five Long March rockets will be displayed atthe air show, the first overseas appearance of the new-generation Long March-5 and LongMarch-7 launch vehicles.

Long March carrier rockets are compatible with foreign satellites, said the CASC, addingthat the rockets had provided commercial launch services for several countries includingLaos and Belarus.

China now offers services such as exporting satellites, technology transfer, training andground station construction.
