Belarus unveils new medium-range surface-to-air missile system concept at MILEX 2017

The Belarus-based innovative enterprise Scientific Production Limited Liability Company OKB TSP (SPLLC OKB TSP) displayed its new medium-range surface-to-air missile system concept for the first time at the MILEX 2017 exhibition in Minsk.

According to bsblog.info, the new surface-to-air missile system is the first of its kind to be designed and built in the Belarus.

On one platform of 8×8 cross-country truck chassis are placed transport-launch containers of anti-aircraft missiles and a radar station. The new surface-to-air missile system developed SPLLC OKB TSP will carry six vertical launch missiles.

The project of new medium-range surface-to-air missile system for replacing older Buk systems is developed by the OKB TSP Company as a private venture. Estimated period of readiness is 3-5 years.

SPLLC OKB TSP has a modern research and manufacture base that allows carrying out scientific research, development work and full-scale production of items. The enterprise has a flexible structure that is adaptive to current tasks, as well as a high technical and intellectual potential of the team of professionals, with the masters, doctors of science and highly skilled engineering and technical staff. The enterprise has a huge experience in development, full-scale production and on-time delivery of items to a customer.

Over the years of its existence the enterprise has taken part in carrying out a series of intergovernmental programs, thereby contributing to military and technical cooperation and development of international relations.
