Azerbaijan unveils SkyStriker loitering munitions

State Border Service of Azerbaijan has unveiled recently received a batch of  SkyStriker fully autonomous loitering munitions systems capable of long-range precise tactical strikes.

According to the AZERI DEFENCE, the new weapon and equipment were displayed during the visit of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to the military base State Border Service. During the event were unveiled a batch of newest Israel-made SkyStriker loitering munitions system.

The munition can be programmed for a variety of attack modes, as well as allowing the operator to issue in-flight commands, including the ability to abort up to two seconds before impact. It also has the ability to return home.

SkyStriker improves survivability by providing direct-fire aerial precision capabilities to maneuvering troops and Special Forces.

The system’s electric propulsion provides a low acoustic signature and enables covert low altitude operations.
