The Ukrainian Airmobile Forces, high mobility branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will soon receive the new of the T-80 “flying tanks”.

That was reported by UkrOboronProm.

According to Ukroboronprom officials, the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces will soon receive main battle tanks upgrade to better equip them for their growing role in order to deal with enemy tanks with the same level of armour.

The upgraded tanks equipped with the new engines developing 1,250 hp. This gave the tank a high power-to-weight ratio and made it one of the most mobile main battle tanks in the world, and consequently it was referred to as the “flying tank”.

Like most Ukrainian and Soviet’s main battle tanks, the T-80 has a smaller and lower shaped profile compared to Western tanks. The T-80 uses a 125mm Smoothbore main gun. It is capable of firing Anti-Tank Guided Missiles through the main gun such as the Combat.
