Russian defence company unveiled Buran 4×4 armoured vehicle

Russian defence company from Nizhny Novgorod has unveiled a new Buran 4×4 multi-mission armoured vehicle at the MAKS 2017, AirShow near Moscow, Russia.

That was reported by military-informant.com.

The Buran has a monocoque structure with armoured hull. The vehicle carries a crew of two (Commander and Driver) and a four-man infantry section into combat. There are three doors on each side of the vehicle each with firing port in the middle of a small bulletproof window.

The Buran 4×4 designed to carry personnel and certain types of cargo. The armoured vehicle provides protection against firing of small arms 7.62x51mm caliber and cross country mobility for personnel and cargo.

The Buran has a weight of 7,600 kg with a maximum payload of 1,200 kg. It has a length of 5.81, a width 2.26m of and an height of 2.35.

The vehicle is motorized with a YaMZ 53442 four-stroke diesel engine offering a maximum speed of 100 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 1,400 km.
