The Ukrainian Private Joint Stock Company Research and Production Association Practika, displayed specialised versions of the Kozak-2M armoured personnel carrier (APC) at Arms and Security exhibition in Kyiv.
The company classifies the Kozak-2M as a mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) type vehicle. The Kozak-2M has a monocoque structure with integrated V-shaped armoured hull that protects occupants by deflecting mine blasts anywhere under the vehicle. It features permanent four-wheel drive and the independent suspension is claimed to provide a high level of cross-country mobility. The original Kozak-2 design, based on an Italian Iveco Eurocargo 4х4 chassis.
According to the company, the hull has been tested to meet the STANAG 4569 requirements for anti-tank mines as well.
The Kozak-2M is intended for a wide range of tasks and can perform as an auxiliary (soldiers transporting, ambulance tasks, convoy escort), and directly combat functions (reconnaissance, fire support).
