Argentina signed a MoU for the purchase of Airbus Helicopters H125

The Argentine Ministry of Defence signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the procurement of 12 Airbus Helicopters H125s (formerly AS550B3 Ecureuil) during the Paris Air Show, according to company communiqué dated 25 June.

The communiqué briefly explains that the H125s will begin replacing the surviving SA315B Lama helicopters. The Argentine Air Force (FAA) operates two SA315B Lamas that survive from 13 delivered in 1973; the Army operates two from six delivered in 1975; and the National Gendarmerie is likely to operate only one remaining example from six delivered in October 1978.
