Rheinmetall will display at DSEI 2015 a field ambulance version of Survivor R high-mobility protected vehicle

German company Rheinmetall Defence will display at DSEI 2015 defence and security international trade event to be held in London, United Kingdom September 16-18 a field ambulance version of the company’s Survivor R 4×4 series high-mobility protected vehicle.

Survivor R medium weight tactical armoured vehicles was jointly developed by German companies Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) and Achleitner Fahrzeugbau und Reifenzentrum.

The image shows Survivor R outfitted out with Kongsberg Protech Systems Protector remote controlled weapon station armed with 12.7mm heavy machine gun and ROSY series multi-ammunition soft kill system of Rheinmetall Waffe Munition.

The RMMV Survivor R is a medium weight armoured-wheeled vehicle developed jointly between Germany’s Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles or RMMV and Austria’s Achleitner, and was publicly displayed for the first time at Eurosatory 2014. The Survivor R is the initial result of a strategic co-operation between RMMV and Achleitner. Disclosed at Eurosatory 2014 and intended to combine the flexibility and innovative strength of a mid-size vehicle manufacturer with the global reputation, market presence and corporate resources of a leading European defense multinational corporation.

In 2015, DSEI, the world leading defence and security exhibition, look forward to welcoming over 30,000 attendees.

The audience will include top level international military staff, major procurement officials, and the entire industry supply chain, from large prime contractors to supplying companies. DSEI has a proven track record of bringing the entire supply chain together on an unrivalled scale.
