International conference «Territorial Defence and Its Role in Contemporary Security Systems»

The worsening geopolitical situation in the Eastern Europe connected with the revolution of dignity in Ukraine, the annexation of Crime by the Russian Federation and the breakout of war in Donbas resulted in a warming up of a heated public discourse and debate concerning the concept of territorial defence. Currently, the works have been undertaken aiming at the  inclusion of the territorial defence in the defence system of the Republic of Poland. The subject-matter of the significance of the territorial defence for national security, without doubt, demands an in-depth, comprehensive and multifaceted analyses.  

The international conference “Territorial Defence and Its Role in Contemporary Security Systems” (Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, November 17th-18th, 2016) will be an excellent occasion to discussion and exchange of international experience. The organizers of the conference are as follows: the departmento of National Security of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (Poland), the Armed Forces Academy of Gen. Milan R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikulás (Slovakia), Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi (Georgia) and ObronaNarodowa.pl Association – Movement for the Home Guard (Poland). The Scientific Committee of the conference comprises of reputable pundits from 15 countries of different continents.
