The Ministry of Defence of Russia has ordered two improved variants of Mi-28NM attack helicopters, the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper reported on 17th of December.

The Ministry of Defence of Russia signed a contract with holding company “Russian Helicopters”, a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation, for the production of an installation batch of new Mi-28NM helicopters.

“Russian Helicopters” will deliver first 2 Mi-28NM helicopters in 2018, under the terms of a contract awarded to the company.

The Mil Mi-28NM is an upgraded version of the Mi-28NE Night Hunter attack helicopter. The helicopter features a 360-degree radar and advanced weapons guidance system that ensure faster target acquisition through an upgrade to the Mi-28NM’s fire control system.
