Poland withdrawal from the multinational program of regarding acquisition of the  Airbus A330 (Multi-Role Tanker Transport) aircraft, that reported by Marek Swierczynski senior analyst for security affairs of Polityka Insigh.

«3 days before the planned signing of the contract, Poland withdraws from the multinational program of acquiring Airbus A330 MRTT»,- said Marek Swierczynski.

Earlier the European Defense Agency has published a Statement according to which the Netherlands, Norway and Poland have expressed their will to start negotiations with the Airbus Defence & Space Company, regarding acquisition of the MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport) aircraft.

Then Norway, Poland and the Netherlands have decided to create a joint tanker force based on the Airbus A330 MRTT. Initial Operational Capability is expected to be obtained by 2019.

The Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) is an aerial refuelling tanker aircraft based on the civilian Airbus A330. The A330 MRTT has been ordered by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), Royal Air Force (RAF), United Arab Emirates Air Force, Royal Saudi Air Force and Republic of Singapore Air Force. The EADS/Northrop Grumman KC-45 was a version of the A330 MRTT proposed for the United States Air Force.
