The pilots of an OH –58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter are in stable condition after making an emergency landing Monday morning during a routine maintenance test flight around Camp Humphreys, according to the 2nd Infantry Division.

Humphreys personnel responded to the scene to secure and care for the soldiers, who are being treated for minor injuries. South Korean personnel are assisting with security at the site.

The helicopter belongs to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade.

The cause of the emergency landing is under investigation.

The Bell OH-58 Kiowa is a family of single-engine, single-rotor, military helicopters used for observation, utility, and direct fire support. Bell Helicopter manufactured the OH-58 for the United States Army based on its Model 206A JetRanger helicopter. The OH-58 has been in continuous use by the U.S. Army since 1969.
