Here is one of the Navy’s new New Zealand SH-2G(I) Super Seasprite helicopters in RNZN colours undergoing a test-flight yesterday at Kaman Aerospace in Bloomfield Connecticut. It is fitted with one of the powerful Penguin missiles these helicopters will use.

On arrival in New Zealand the temporary US registration will be removed. Ten of these machines are on order to replace the existing five Seasprites.

The first should arrive late this year with all in service by 2016.
