Kazakhstan buys Mbombe vehicles from Paramount Group. So Paramount working with Kazakhstan to produce Mbombe armoured vehicles. Production of Mbombe armored vehicles to start in 2015 in Astana.

Mbombe is a highly agile infantry fighting vehicle offering outstanding protection, mobility and fire-power. It is designed to provide unrivalled protection against landmines, IEDs, side blasts and RPG attacks. This is achieved by revolutionary new technology that provides outstanding mine protection without resorting to the traditional V-shape design. The mine protected flat bottom hull reduces Mbombe’s silhouette to under 2.4 meters, which delivers significant benefits in combat and against IED attacks. The vehicle comes as standard with a high level of protection against kinetic energy and blast attacks. It is fully qualified to STANAG specifications.

Paramount Group, Africa’s largest privately owned defence and aerospace business, announced a strategic collaboration with Kazakhstan Engineering Distribution to establish a manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan for the production of military armoured vehicles and civilian buses.

The factory that will be situated in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is expected to produce between 120 and 360 vehicles per year and create 150 skilled jobs.
