French 4×4 armoured vehicle competes in Brazil

The Brazilian Army Evaluation Center (CAEx) in Rio de Janeiro is evaluating the Avibras Tupi 4×4 high-mobility protected vehicle, which is based on France’s Renault Trucks Defense Sherpa Light Scout.

The platform is being offered to meet the army’s VBMT-LR multirole 4×4 armoured vehicle requirement, for which an initial 32 vehicles are to be bought under an urgent requirement intended for peacekeeping operations, and then two tranches of 77 units each could be procured.
